Episode 1 of People and Planet Series: Breaking Ground with Howard Gentry In this first episode of People and Planet, we hear from a man that IS black history here in Nashville Tennessee. Follow along as we hear  how his heart was transformed from meeting long lost relatives that were created during the slavery days. Howard Gentry was the first African American elected county wide, the first African American Vice Mayer and the first  African American constitutional officer in Nashville Tennessee.
